Software Design Engineer in Test
Location: Pune, India
Software Design Engineer in Test brings the expertise of Software Development to develop framework and tools to test products. The engineer elaborates on the details of the functionalities and enforces that the product being rolled out meets the requirements specified. You will be involved from the start of the software development of the product with emphasis on functional testing, negative testing, performance testing, scalability testing, international testing. You carry the final seal of approval. It combines the “building” aspect of software design engineering with the “breaking” aspect of software test engineering.
Responsibilities
Ability to solve complex problems and write automation systems
Ability to elaborate testing techniques and commanding development procedures by understanding the functional requirements.
Ability to author test plans and cases, conduct security and stress tests, and debug at source level after identifying, investigating, and prioritizing bugs
Creativity and innovation, Fast learner and Drive for results
Attention to details. The sharpest of hawk eyes are needed to find the smallest cracks.
Qualifications
Expertise in OOPS (Java), Scripting Language (Ruby/Perl)
Knowledge in databases is a plus
Any experience level is welcome. Higher experience brings greater responsibilities.
Expertise in any testing framework is a plus (e.g. Selenium)
